【GMBA】IMP Company Visit – 2024鴻海科技日（Hon Hai Tech Day, HHTD24）

Hon Hai Tech Day 2024 (HHTD24) was held on October 9th at Taipei’s Nangang Exhibition Center, hosted by Foxconn (Hon Hai Precision Industry). GMBA students attended through an exclusive tour, where exhibition staff provided detailed English explanations, enabling students to explore product applications and functionalities firsthand. Students engaged actively with questions on applications, costs, market potential, release dates, and sustainability, with exhibition personnel offering comprehensive answers tailored to each student’s interests.

The event showcased Foxconn’s latest innovations, including two electric vehicles: the versatile MODEL D utility vehicle and the mid-sized MODEL U electric bus. Additionally, attendees viewed cutting-edge AI technologies, such as the “Smart City: Government” system for enhancing urban mobility and AI-powered robotic arms for precision assembly.

Further highlights included Smart Energy Solutions with prismatic cell batteries for EVs, advanced EV charging stations, and Low Earth Orbit satellite technology through the PEARL CubeSat model, which emphasized space data analysis and communications synchronization.

Electric vehicles were central, with models beyond the MODEL D and U, such as the MODEL N cargo van, MODEL V pick-up, family-friendly MODEL C SUV, a luxury sedan, and a public EV bus. GMBA students explored the interiors of select models, including the MODEL N and EV bus, testing gadgets and capturing photos. A brief drive test allowed students to experience the comfort and drivability of the MODEL C and MODEL B SUVs, even though they did not drive them personally.

Overall, Hon Hai Tech Day 2024 offered GMBA students an enriching experience, exposing them to the latest trends in AI and EV technology, expanding their perspectives on market opportunities and future interests.
