On May 23, 2025, NTU Global MBA (GMBA) partnered with Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) to host the final round and award ceremony of the 2025 AI Business Proposal Competition. The event highlighted the power of academia-industry collaboration and reaffirmed GMBA’s commitment to equipping students with practical, innovation-driven business experience.
A total of eight international student teams competed in the final round, each presenting AI-powered business proposals leveraging CHT’s technological expertise in telecommunications, AIoT, and cloud infrastructure. The presentation order was determined by a live lottery draw, adding fairness and excitement to the proceedings.
The first-place team, Infinity Bridge, proposed an AI platform designed to support the global expansion of semiconductor manufacturers. Their solution integrated CHT’s 5G, AI, and cloud technologies to deliver market insights, site evaluations, and infrastructure deployment, while generating revenue through consulting services and AIoT-based contracts.
The second-place team, Übermensch, introduced a next-generation urban surveillance solution tailored for the European market. By combining CHT’s Smart Pole infrastructure with real-time analysis powered by large language models, the system offered enhanced monitoring and interactive public safety features.
The third-place team, Fantastic Four, presented an AI-enabled drone system aimed at supporting rice farmers in Southeast Asia. Utilizing CHT’s network and analytics platforms, their solution provided weather forecasting and ESG data collection to benefit both industrial-scale and smallholder farms.
In addition, two Merit Awards were presented:
- 我們會贏對不隊 – a smart coffee grading and sorting machine aimed at enhancing the global competitiveness of Indonesian coffee, incorporating IoT hardware and SaaS cloud integration.
- L&C – an AI-powered productivity tool featuring meeting summaries, emotional wellness tracking, and personalized feedback to boost employee engagement.
The competition was judged by representatives from Chunghwa Telecom and NTU GMBA, with additional guests from the telecom sector and academic community in attendance. During the closing ceremony, organizers commended the students’ creativity and professionalism, and emphasized the long-term value of cross-sector partnerships in nurturing global business talent.
This competition serves as a strong example of NTU GMBA’s dedication to experiential, high-impact learning, bridging the gap between classroom knowledge and real-world application, and empowering students to lead in the evolving digital economy.
