Spring 2025 NTU CoM Exchange Student Orientation
Nearly 30 NTU local students at the Buddy Program are committed to organizing the College of Management’s exchange student oreintation, which successfully concluded on February 12. Each buddy played their role—preparing presentations, planning games, purchasing materials, and more—all to make this event the best it could be.
On the day of the event, buddies led the international students in icebreaker games. My group consisted entirely of Europeans, and they mentioned that the game Heads Up is very popular in their countries, so everyone was an expert at asking precise questions and guessing the answers. The room was filled with laughter throughout the game, and it was incredibly rewarding to see the exchange students enjoying the activities we had prepared. More importantly, it helped them get to know each other better.
After the games, two hosts introduced the College of Management and led a campus tour. The guide for my group was highly professional and had excellent English skills, making it easier for the international students to learn about the surroundings. However, I think it would be even better in the future if we could include recommendations for nearby restaurants—such as those on the first floor of the Student Activity Building II—or extend the tour to other parts of the campus.
Overall, it was a fun and engaging event that I believe was beneficial for the exchange students. I also had the opportunity to meet many international and local students throughout the experience.
