To prepare for 2025 CHT x NTU GMBA International Business Innovation Proposal Competition, NTU students visited Chunghwa Telecom Laboratories in Taoyuan City on March 31. As a leading hub for innovation in telecommunications and AI technologies, the lab visit aimed to deepen students’ understanding of AI applications and support the development of forward-thinking business proposals.

The trip began with a pre-departure briefing, after which students were welcomed at the laboratories by professionals who introduced Chunghwa Telecom’s pioneering work in AI and digital transformation.

The session opened with an overview of the company’s evolution into a technology-driven enterprise, highlighting its strategic partnerships and key achievements in innovation. Speakers from the company’s international branch provided further insights into the role of AI in telecommunications, particularly in cloud services, cybersecurity, and data center operations. The theme of the upcoming competition was also presented.

Students were introduced to several cutting-edge technologies, including 小Q, a digital human AI developed for hospital information desks, and an AI-powered audiobook system capable of rapidly producing multimedia content. These innovations demonstrated the practical potential of AI in sectors such as education, customer service, and home learning.

Interactive group discussions encouraged students to exchange ideas and explore creative AI-powered business solutions. The visit strengthened the connection between academia and industry, offering students valuable insights, professional engagement, and inspiration to innovate in the fast-evolving world of AI.
