2025 Fall GMBA Welcome Back Party

To kick off the new academic year and warmly welcome the new students, the GMBA Welcome Back Party was held on September 13, 2025, at Barcade Taiwan. The event brought together around 100 attendees, including R12, R13, the newest batch of R14, a few alumni and guests. It was a celebration of reconnection and new beginnings, bringing together students from different years.

The party was officially welcomed by Jenny Wu, R13 Student Council President, followed by a brief speech from GMBA Director Bryan Jean. Director Jean emphasized that the event was “not only a celebration of a new semester but also a chance to reconnect.” He also encouraged to take this opportunity to build connections but most importantly, to have fun.

The venue featured several entertainment activities such as arcade machines, pool table, dart and card games that offered a relaxed atmosphere, a perfect way for interaction. Laughter filled the room as students played the games and conversations flowed. Each attendee also had two complimentary drinks and a buffet of finger foods.

The night was filled with vibrant energy as students reconnected after a two-month summer break and at the same time, mingled with the new batch of R14 and formed friendships. The highlight of the night was our very own R13 DJ Ucchy, Takeshi Uchida, who brought the party to life with his upbeat tracks that got everyone on the dance floor. Everyone gathered to dance and sing happily together in the middle of the room.

The Welcome Back Party was a fresh start to the fall semester and it was filled with good vibes, new faces, unending stories and memorable experiences. The party has been a tradition organized by the GMBA Student Council every semester to officially welcome the semester and a chance for students to get to know everyone in the GMBA community outside the four walls of the classroom.
